Office processing of third-party scans and point clouds

We turn raw scans into usable DWG, BIM and point clouds

We check source data, register and clean point clouds, then prepare CAD/BIM/IFC or a clear handoff archive for the project team. Remote work across Russia and large-file transfer by link are supported.

Raw point cloud transformed into CAD and BIM deliverables

Source audit

We review format, overlaps, density, noise and fitness for the required output.

Guidance before start

Cost and timing are estimated after reviewing a fragment or archive link.

Team handoff

We deliver clear file structure, formats and usage notes.

Fast start

Send a fragment or point cloud link

You do not need to share the whole archive immediately. For an initial estimate, we need format, volume, quality and the required output.

Data for estimate

Minimum input to remove uncertainty

We can start from an archive link, a test fragment or a task description. Large files are transferred through cloud storage, client corporate access or SPLINE360.SPACE.

  • Formats and structure

    E57, RCP/RCS, LAS/LAZ, PTX/PTS, XYZ, stations, single cloud, panoramas.

  • Volume and quality

Archive size, station count, density, noise, gaps, overlaps and coordinates.

  • Required output

Clean cloud, CAD, BIM, IFC, orthophoto, report, contractor or project-team structure.

  • Large-file transfer

Cloud link, corporate storage, NDA on request and agreed access protocol.

Quality control

We check not only the file, but whether it can be used

The goal is to remove the fear that data exists but cannot be used. Deliverables are checked for readability, structure, formats and acceptance criteria.

  • Registration control

We check overlaps, deviations, registration errors and coordinate consistency.

  • Readable formats

We open deliverables in working formats and check whether they can be handed off.

  • Handoff structure

Files, zones, floors, names and archives are organized for the team.

  • Acceptance criteria

Before work starts, we define what ready means and where limitations apply.

Quality control for point cloud registration and deliverables

Honest data review

Processing improves data, but does not create missing geometry

If source data is incomplete, we say where additional or repeat scanning is needed. This protects budget and the project team from false precision.

  • Important zones missing

Rooms, facades, ceilings or engineering areas are absent from the cloud.

  • Low overlap

Stations are hard to register without error risk and accumulated deviations.

  • Insufficient density

The required DWG/BIM output may be impossible from the available detail.

  • Damaged files

Archives are incomplete, unreadable or contain incompatible data.

Positioning

How data processing differs from adjacent services

The page clarifies that the buyer is not purchasing a site visit or generic modeling, but turning already captured scans into a usable working base.

Data processing

When needed
Scans already exist but must be registered, cleaned, structured and delivered.
Input
Cloud files, stations, panoramas, existing drawings, brief.
Output
Working clouds, CAD/BIM/IFC preparation and handoff archive.
Does not replace
Does not restore absent zones without additional scanning.

Laser scanning

When needed
The actual geometry must be captured on site.
Input
Site access, task, accuracy and zone requirements.
Output
Raw or initially processed scan data.
Does not replace
Does not create full CAD/BIM deliverables without office processing.

BIM modeling

When needed
An existing-condition or design BIM model is needed.
Input
Cloud, measurements, drawings, LOD/LOG and BIM team requirements.
Output
Model, IFC/RVT/PLN, schedules and documentation by agreement.
Does not replace
Does not fix poor clouds without review and preparation.

Data handoff

SPLINE360 as a viewing and transfer layer

When the team needs more than an archive link, point clouds, panoramas, links and comments can be collected in SPLINE360.SPACE.

  • Remote review

Designers or clients review materials without file chaos.

  • Single archive

Clouds, panoramas, links and notes are organized in one structure.

  • Comments

Problem areas and acceptance criteria are easier to discuss.

  • Secure handoff

Access rules and protocol can match client requirements.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

  • Can you process data if you did not perform the scanning?

Yes. You can share E57, RCP/RCS, LAS/LAZ, PTX/PTS, XYZ or other source data. First we check cloud quality, file structure and whether the needed result can be produced.
  • What is included in point cloud processing?

Depending on the task: station registration, noise cleaning, extra object removal, zoning, decimation, export to required formats, CAD/BIM preparation and handoff to the project team.
  • Can I get only a cleaned cloud without drawings?

Yes. If the client has their own design or BIM team, we can prepare only the point cloud in a convenient format: E57, RCP/RCS, LAS/LAZ or another agreed option.
  • Can you create DWG or BIM from a cloud?

Yes. From a processed cloud we can prepare DWG drawings, a 3D model, a BIM model in Revit, Archicad or IFC. The deliverable scope is agreed before work starts.
  • What if the cloud is too heavy?

We can decimate it, slice it by floors and zones, export working formats and prepare lighter versions for designers.
  • Can you work with individual station data?

Yes, if the source data allows registration. Before processing, we need to check overlaps, station quality, coordinates and data completeness.
  • How do we know if the source data is suitable?

We can run a preliminary audit: check volume, formats, scan quality, gaps, noise, overlaps and whether the data matches the task.
  • What formats do you accept?

E57, RCP, RCS, LAS, LAZ, PTX, PTS, XYZ and other formats by agreement. You can also share panoramas, photos, existing drawings and a brief.
  • How are large files transferred?

Through agreed cloud storage, an archive link, the client's corporate storage or SPLINE360.SPACE if the project is managed on the platform. For an initial estimate, a cloud fragment and the desired output are enough.
  • How much does point cloud processing cost and how long does it take?

Indicative guidance after initial data audit: clean cloud from 35,000 RUB and 1-3 business days, CAD kit from 70,000 RUB and 3-7 business days, BIM/IFC kit from 120,000 RUB and 5-15 business days. Exact scope depends on data volume, scan quality and required formats; this is not a public offer.
  • Can the work be done fully remotely across Russia?

Yes. Office processing of third-party scans is usually done remotely across Russia: you share a data link, we check quality, agree deliverables, timing, cost and hand over an archive or project space for the team.
  • Can you sign an NDA?

Yes. For banks, industrial facilities, private objects and restricted projects we can work under an NDA and an agreed access protocol.

Initial estimate

Check the data and get an estimate

For an initial estimate, a contact, task description and file link are enough. If the cloud is large, paste the link or message us on Telegram.

  • You can send a point cloud fragment or an archive link.
  • Cost and timing guidance follows an initial data audit.
  • NDA and access rules can be agreed before sensitive data transfer.
